Zelensky has presented his five-point plan for victory in parliament in Kiev. The plan does not sound like a peace plan, but like escalation.
What Ukrainian President Zelensky presented as a “victory plan” in Kiev sounds presumptuous and dangerous.
His five-point plan includes:
First: NATO should invite Ukraine to become part of the alliance.
Second: The war should be taken to Russia so that it also takes place on Russian soil and the Russians feel the war. To this end, the West should allow the use of long-range weapons.
Third: The West should massively arm Ukraine so that Ukraine acts as a deterrent to Russia.
Fourth: In return, Ukraine will grant Western companies access to Ukrainian raw materials such as uranium, titanium, lithium and graphite.
Fifth: After victory, Ukraine is to act as NATO's security force in the east. Ukrainian soldiers are to be stationed at many points in Eastern Europe in order to relieve the USA in terms of troop personnel.
Creepy? Creepy!
It sounds as if Washington has dictated the plan. Europe is to be kept in turmoil in the east, the Europeans are to pay, the USA supplies the weapons (for billions) and gets access to Ukrainian raw materials. And the USA can reduce its military personnel costs in Europe because the Ukrainian men are sticking their necks out. Europe also bears the risk of escalation.
It is to be feared that many NATO states will fall for this game, especially traffic light Germany. It's all a huge win for the USA. For us, it is expensive and risky.
And in the end, Russia will not be defeated.
